On Tuesday, 20th March the U13A team were crowned ISHC National Champions. The side were drawn against Blundell’s ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ in the semi-final, which they proceeded to win 7-2 thanks to five goals from Archie G-H and one apiece through William B and Jack W.
In the National Final, the team were drawn against Calday Grange Grammar ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ. What followed was a perfect performance from the boys as they quickly raced into a 3-0 lead and went on to win the final convincingly 8-2, with goals coming through Archie G-H, with a further four to add to his tally of nine in two games at a national finals day, two from Louis U and one apiece through Robbie B and William B.
To be crowned National Champions of England in a competition which is open to every school in the land is a considerably great achievement and no less than the boys deserve for being an absolutely superb group of boys to work with throughout their time at the Prep ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ. Individual goals scorers have been singled out above but this was very much a superb all round team effort from all nine boys involved and we drew praise from many onlookers as present.
Squad: Henry J, Rafferty G, Henry J, Jack W (captain), William B, Louis U, Archie G-H, Billy M and Robbie B.
