Music at Worcester Cathedral

The Prep ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ Chamber Choir was joined by the Senior ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ Saxophone Ensemble to perform a Lunchtime Concert at Worcester Cathedral.
Pupils rehearsed in the cathedral song school and then, dressed in their robes, processed to the cathedral to take their place for the concert. Choir items were interspersed with solos by Henry S (voice), Theo L (organ) and the Senior ¶¹ÄÌÊÓƵ Saxophone Ensemble who played a very moving arrangement of
Erbarme dich, mein Gott from Bach’s
St. Mathew Passion.
The final piece brought saxophonists and singers together in a glorious rendition of
Like an Eagle by Carl Strommen.
The musicians were thrilled to perform in a building with such a wonderful acoustic.
